Based in San Francisco, Brianna is Director of Analysis at Darktrace. She joined the analyst team in 2016 and has since advised a wide range of enterprise customers on advanced threat hunting and leveraging Self-Learning AI for detection and response. Brianna works closely with the Darktrace SOC team to proactively alert customers to emerging threats and investigate unusual behavior in enterprise environments. Brianna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Ryan is the Threat Intelligence team Manager and a leader in the Threat Response Unit at
eSentire. Prior to eSentire Ryan spent three years in Big 4 Consulting, helping build, develop,
and establish a Threat Intelligence & Analytics team. Prior to Big 4 consulting, Ryan was a
member of Canada’s Federal Public Service for over 5 years, employed by Public Safety
Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces. Ryan is passionate about protecting clients from
emerging threats.

Chris McCormack is a network security specialist at Sophos where he has been focused on firewall and network protection since 2008. Chris specializes in providing advice and insight into the latest threats and network protection technologies and strategies.

Ian Usher is deputy global head of Threat Intelligence at NCC Group, one of the world’s largest and most respected security consultancies with over 35 global offices, 2,000 employees and 14,000 clients. He spent 5 years studying human behavior, societal risk, and security at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, then transitioned into law enforcement where he was involved in counter terrorism and protection of critical national infrastructure. He then pivoted into the world of cyber security, working his way up from an entry level Threat Intelligence Analyst. He has supported clients all over the world while working to expand NCC Group’s Threat Intelligence capability and commercial offerings.

Merike Kaeo is a vCISO at Double Shot Security, which provides corporate governance and executive strategies to secure global organizations. In prior roles, Merike held positions as CISO at Uniphore, CTO of Farsight Security and CISO for Internet Identity (IID). Her foray into security started when she instigated and led the first security initiative for Cisco Systems in the mid 1990s and authored the first Cisco book on security, "Designing Network Security," which was translated into multiple languages and leveraged for prominent security accreditation programs such as CISSP. She is a passionate advocate for practical security measures and driving industry change to create a culture of integrity, responsibility and accountability.

Merike has served on the FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) and since 2010 has been a member of ICANN’s Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC). She served a one year term on the ARIN Board of Trustees and a three-year term as the SSAC Liaison to the ICANN Board. Merike earned a MSEE from George Washington University and a BSEE from Rutgers University.
