A former Naval intelligence officer and attorney in the Office of General Counsel for the NSA, Erik is well-positioned to help clients navigate complex cybersecurity and emerging technology challenges. Head of Husch Blackwell’s Cybersecurity practice group, Erik focuses on compliance requirements related to cybersecurity and data privacy with an emphasis on clients in critical infrastructure sectors and federal contractors. Clients appreciate Erik’s diverse perspective and first-hand experience. In addition to his law degree, Erik has a Master’s in Cybersecurity Law and holds related certifications including CIPP/US, CIPM, Cyber Incident Planning & Response and GIAC's Law of Data Security & Investigations.
